I could smell this alllllll day long!

coffee1Isn’t it funny when you find a smell that you like, you wanna smell it all of the time? No? Ok, maybe it’s just me. ha ha. Lately, every single time my Hubster Eric opens up the canister of coffee in the morning, our youngest daughter Luna wants to smell it. I mean, stick her head full on into the canister, smell it! I get it though. I love coffee too! Coincidentally, it IS National Coffee Day today too!

That’s how I also feel about the smell of a candle I first smelled at a friend’s house. Growing up in California, we were so close to Hawaii, so I’ve been fortunate enough to travel there several times. Everycoffee2 visit I am reminded of how AH-mazing it smells there. Like a flower paradise! This candle called Aloha Orchid totally sums of the amazing smell that is Hawaii. After not having been there in over ten years, our family went back a few years ago to go to Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa and again I was reminded of this smell. It makes me so happy. Although it was a Disney Resort, so everything there made me happy! So when I came back and smelled this candle at a friend’s house, I instantly forked over the money to buy this candle. (Speaking of, why candles cost so much should be a whole other blog but I digress.) I love this orchid smell and I want to smell it all.of.the.time. Sigh. It makes me euphoric, nostalgic and all the other “ics” at the same time.

What is your favorite smell that you could smell allllllll day long?

That is so cute about Luna loving the fresh coffee grinds smell! I fell in love with a candle, I was at someone’s home waiting for them, so started sniffing their candles (they had lids on them). I happenstanced on one called Grass. It was middle of winter, dark, dank, cold and stormy, and when I took the lid off, and sniffed. I felt like it was instantly summer, and I’m mowing the lawn, and it was so good. I sat around sniffing and sniffing til everyone started to wonder about me. So, I went on a mission to buy such candle but was no longer being made. I tried any candle called grass or a reasonable facsimile, but none were as good, although I did buy a couple and love them in the winter. I also love tangerine essential oil mixed with rose otto. i love the smell of fresh tar, turpentine, and other smells that are bad for you, so I try not to hang around those too long.
