If you ever watched Friday Night Lights, I need to talk to you ASAP!

fridaynightlights1WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME???

Why didn’t you tell me how GREAT this show was??!! lol I remember years ago when this show was first on the air and the reason I remember, is because the guy who directed the Friday Night Lights TV show (and the movie) was one of my Top 5 favorite actor guys ever, Peter Berg. But even with my favorite guy directing it (and guest starring in a few episodes too), I still never watched it. Not even sure why I didn’t really.

Fast forward to last month when my friend Casey told me he was binge-watching Friday Nights and LOVED it! Then my Nashville Bestie Chandra came to visit a few weeks later with her daughter over the Holidays and she told me she had just binge-watched it too. So we watched one episode and were IN! The funny thing is I am in love with Connie Britton on the ABC Show Nashville and I knew she came from FNL and now I love her even more!!

My husband Eric and I are now on the 4th of five seasons of Friday Night LIghts and we can’t stop. It’s our little thing we do together and I love it! We watch it almost every night after we put the kids down.  It’s become a total obsession and I’m going to be so sad when it’s done.

Ok. so let’s talk FNL…who was your favorite on the show??? Although don’t get me started on Tim Riggins. That should be a entirely separate blog!  hee hee

Oh I just had to comment! That show is awesome. I also never watched it while on tv but caught up with it on Netflix and binge watched for however long it took to get through it all. It’s so, so good. And it ends well too. *spoiler* I know. But you know how some shows don’t know they aren’t going to be renewed, so they leave you hanging? Well, not this one. It wraps up so nicely. Which just makes it all the better! Good luck! It’s sooooo good! (PS- we were in Stacy’s wedding together 🙂

    • Yes Sarah, it has taken us soooooo long to get through it but we can’t stop. Lol Can’t wait to see how it ends although I don’t really want it to end! 🙁 Awwww, I just talked to that little Momma yesterday! I am hoping to go visit her soon! 🙂

Please stock up on tissues for the last episode. One of the best finales I’ve ever seen, and Jason Katims did it again with the finale of Parenthood last week. So moving!

It’s so hard to pick one favorite on FNL. I’m going to go with a couple – Coach and Tami. I love their interaction. They just keep it real.

    Texas forever!!

I did the same thing! I binge watched it last summer! Mourned when it was over! It reminded my of my small home town in Oklahoma (only had one high school)! Almost every person in town had a season ticket (My mom’s was on the third row, seat 1) The pep club sat in bleachers on the field and the cheerleaders were in front of us. If you weren’t at the game on Friday night, your only excuse was being in the hospital! When we played Vernon, Texas (just across the state line) It was like the super bowl! Down town was always decorated in blue and white during football season and if we made the play offs, charter buses took most of the town to the games! I was “football clerical assistant” my senior year. Basically, I had enough credits to graduate and just needed something to do. So the Coach took me in and made me go on regular tampon runs for all those bloody noses they got in practice! lol Who knew? Oh, what simpler times and wonderful memories!
